My roommate and I just tried a homemade face mask. Here’s the recipe, if you’re interested.

4 Mar
  • One kiwi
  • Six large strawberries
  • One third of a medium cucumber, plus two extra slices
  • One tablespoon all natural honey
  • Vanilla extract
  • Large towel
  • Your favorite moisturizer

Blend kiwi, strawberry, and cucumber together, except the two extra slices of cucumber, and one of the six strawberries. If you have a blender, use it! We tried to do it by hand and it was very difficult. We ended up chopping it all very finely. Stir well. Evenly distribute the parts of the mixture if you mixed by hand. If you did this in a blender, then you should be good. Add honey, stir. Put in fridge for about five minutes. Eat extra strawberry while waiting. By this point, you’ll want to. Take out, and smear juices on face. The cool feeling from the fridge feels AMAZING. Take two extra slices of cucumber. Go lay down. Cover eyes with cucumber. Let mask sit for five to fifteen minutes. It does sting a little, so as long as you can let it sit, do it. Rinse off with warm water. Don’t freak out if your face is pink. Its not stained, at least ours weren’t after our original scare. Fill sink full of HOT water. Add vanilla until scented. Stick face over sink and throw towel over your head. Wait about two minutes. Add a small amount of moisturizer to face. Feel refreshed 🙂
